I need to be at Silverstone race course tomorrow at 9.30am. I will be travelling northbound up the M1 from St Albans (junction 6) going to junction 15.

How long will it take me with morning traffic? What time should I leave?

45 minutes tops - at that time of day everyone will be going South.

I'd have said 45 mins if your lucky. An hour and a half if you are unlucky.

Watch out for the roadworks just past Luton as it sometimes causes a bottleneck. I'd say leave at 8:30 and you should be OK.

Look out for my little tiptop as I;m heading to Northampton for a meeting at the same time!
