Skiiing in Australia

Anyone done it? If so, how to choose between the Snowy Mountains in NSW or Alpine and Mt Buffalo national parks in Victoria? Can't seem to find anything on t'interweb that's sufficiently helpful... N.B. We'll be there in July.
