Currency in Sri Lanka/Maldives

Just realised I've not got any currency out for the holiday tomorrow.

Any idea what the best currency is for both Sri Lanka and the Maldives?

Most of the spend can go on the room, but for tipping etc it's always good to have some of the right wonga.

In the Maldives, the US Dollar is king.

Sri Lankan Rupees, diffrent from Indian rupees.

We couldn't even make any monetry transactions (I think this is for alchohol mainly) - so you just put everything on a tab and pay by card at the end of the holiday!!!
