Loved the San Clemente when we stayed there - apart from anything else, an oasis of peace compared with the bustle of the main islands.

^^^ 100% agree with you.

The staff are lovely too.

Would be even better if they bought new pool furniture/deck chairs and improved the food generally.

When I went 2 years ago I stayed at the Ca Sagredo with the now ex.

It is on the river 2 minutes walk from the Via Rialto.

We had a Grand Canal Deluxe room/suite about 300 Eur a night and it was lovely as was the location and the staff.

Breakfast was included and was also wonderful.

Edited to add: we were also greeted with Champagne and Strawberries etc in the room.
