Here we are - my wife and I amongst tens of thousands caught out by the flight cancelations.

We can get to the channel ferry ports without too much problem but none of the carriers appear to be taking foot passenger bookings.

Does anyone know how long we are likely to have to wait if we just turn up?

None of the call centres appear to be taking calls any more?

Many thanks from a British refugee in Europe.

I know what I would try.

I'd get to Loone Plage / Dunkurque ferry terminal. Now, Norfolk Line don't take foot passengers, but you could try getting a lift in one of the many lorries, cars and vans that cross, you may even cross for free.

Yeh, I had a similar idea but I'm wondering how many others are doing the same - good idea though.

I am stuck in Madrid (where we were diverted from Sao Paulo) and we have just been told by the airline that there are no ferry crossings available from anywhere including Spain. French Railways are also going on strike next week. Unless the wind changes I am going to be here for a while.

in the times too. If you have a push bike you are not classed as a foot passenger...
