travel advice from Nice to Calais
Discussion
I'm planning a hoon with my 14 year old lad at the start of July. We'll be travelling up from Nice and I'd like to go on as interesting a route as possible over a 2/3 day period. Would prefer not just to do France as I've done it a few times before.
The objective would be to take in as many good driving roads as we could, avoiding the motorway slog, though an autobahn blast would be fun.
Can anyone give me some pointers: roads to use, places to stop overnight etc?
Thanks.

Avoiding France?
When we did our Eurotrip last year (on bikes) and for that portion of the trip, from Monaco we basically went:
Cuneo > Turin > Como > Stelvio > Uberlingen > B500 > Baden Baden > Autobahn north
Lovely twisties out of Monaco up to Turin via Cuneo. Turin to Como is a bit bland but Como is stunning, from Como you have a choice of routes over the Alps, Uberlingen is also stunning and a recommended overnight stop, the B500 is an awesome road up to Baden Baden, then you can pick up the bahn for some schnell up to Calais.
Mind, ask a hundred people and you will get a hundred opinions
