I am currently in Zurich and am booked on a Friday evening flight to Gatwick, or was. Having just logged onto Easyjet and checked my booking, it has come up with an alert saying my flight is disrupted or cancelled and that I need to reschedule my flight, no other options whatsoever online.

Now Easyjet website themselves and Zurich airport still have the flight as scheduled. Does this mean that the flight is running but my pre booked seat is no longer valid? Trying to phone Easyjet just boils my piss and it seems to be cutting me off before I've even started with the menu options.

If it is the case that EJ are running this flight, are they allowed to give up my booked seat to someone else?

Overbooking is common place as there is always a percentage of no-shows (which I always find odd!). Yes, they are permitted to do this so best advice is to turn up early.
