Dominican Republic or anywhere else... May

Good Evening Guys

Looking to get away in 2 weeks for 2 weeks somewhere all inclusive - budget 2k for the 2 of us

Has anyone been to the Dom Rep in May? It looks like its going to rain a bit but are these 30 minute showers in the afternoon or tropical monsoons all day?

If you have any other suggestions then let me know.

Have you looked at Cuba - not been myself but my folks reckon they enjoyed it much more than DR and felt much safer.
