Hello all you travel maestros,

Me and her want to fly to USA from Manchester.
Not really bothered which city.

Looking at going early July, for 3 weeks.
So come back end of July.

Any one know of any good deals, ?

is schedule cheaper or charter cheaper?

Skyscanner.net is pretty good for checking flexible pricing. You should be able to type in USA and it will suggest rough pricing.

New York with Continental are quite good, we've been about 8 times with them.

Aer Lingus going via Dublin takes you to New York, Boston or Orlando but I've always found them to be dearer. The plus side of going this way though is the fact that you clear American Immigration and Border Controls before you leave this side of the Atlantic as all of that is carried out in Ireland before you board.

We've also done Delta into Atlanta, not to impressed with them.

Never done American Airlines into Philly or Chicago so can't comment on them.

You could try Pakistan International, Manchester is the stop-off en-route to New York from Islamabad biggrin

Bear with me, I'm being serious.

Icelandair were doing some great deals, obviously you need to stop off in Volcanoville on the way. They were doing a couple of nights in Reykjavik dirt cheap too.

Once they get going again they'll be cheap as anything I'd have thought.

Obviously you'll have to convince your missus, just tell her some random off the internet thought it'd be a larf. That'll do it.

Most American youngsters use Icelandair to get to Europe on the cheap - it's not as silly as it sounds

Thank you to all.
So it looks like fly from Manchester to which ever airline has its main base or hub in the States?

Each Airline has a different main place to go to in the States ?

Normally multiple hubs each.

For instance NorthWest is based out of Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis, Continental at Newark, Houston and Cleveland, US Air at Charlotte, Philly and Phoenix.
