Hey Guys,

Missus and I are tying the knot in July and don't have enough ££ for a full honeymoon yet. We do have some saved up for a minimoon and would really welcome some ideas.

3-4 Nights, UK based (or perhaps northern france) no further north than say Yorkshire (we're right on the south coast) with a max budget of £180/night B&B.

We would really love somewhere quiet, out of the way, and a bit unique really- can be hotel, B&B, self catering- basically anything really special.

Thanks Guys

jim

Congrats thumbup

Carey's Manor in the New Forest is always a nice place for a break, great restaurant in the hotel and a little french place just outside, superb Spa for just relaxing in. It's bang in the heart of the forest, Lyndhurst and Lymington not far away, walks/bike rides and very near Beaulieu.

Good Luck.

PS - scratchchin Wonder if Chewton Glenn falls in that price range? May bump in to Murray Walker smile

Cheton Glen will be much more - lovely though.

Look at Hotel du Vin - http://www.hotelduvin.com/ I use them a lot, food generally excellent and lovely rooms.

What sort of things do you like Jim?

Looking for walking? Coastal? Or just anything a bit different?

Cheers all biggrin

have been to Chewton Glen a few times but its not really right.

Not looking for a town thing- something quiet and secluded in the country would be perfect- hotel would be fine, but something small and personable- the problem with places like Chewton Glen is that they are a bit "pretentious" and not relaxed.

Looking for a bit of a gem- bit like http://www.lakelandstonecottage.co.uk/
