Ripponden/Leeds/Manchester

Is Ripponden closer to Leeds Bradford or Manchester airports. Can't quite make my mind up using google earth, I have to travel to Ripponden for an interview and it has been suggested that I fly to Leeds Bradford!!

What mode of transport will you be using from the airport to Ripponden and at what time of day?

As the crow flies the distance isn't much different but on one approach you have a mostly motorway option that can be busy or quiet depending on the time of day and then the other way it's likely to be a fair bit of stop / start / fun road / stop start.

Manchester will probably be quicker and have more availability - LBA will mean driving through Leeds whereas M62 from MAN and Ripponden is just off J22.

I'd agree with that. I live on the end of the runway at LBA and to get to a motorway can take a while depending on the time of day.

Would take around 40 minutes to drive from Manchester airport to Ripponden via the M56/M60/M62, given light traffic.

Plane arrives at leeds 0820, so if i went Manchester it would be 0810 ish

I set off for work at that time. It will be chocka block.
