Just been doing some flight booking, often use Easyjet & Ryanair as generally they are cheaper than other options, however Ryanair's website really got on my tits today as you progress through the booking stages the price creeps up & up & up, £5 each way booking fee my ass!

So checked on BA's website just to see what they might be doing....

Bristol/Gatwick/Heathrow to Madrid are my options with a bag or two

Lyingair wanted £124 no £145 no £158
Sleazyjet wanted £134 no £148
BA wanted £113 with no stupid options increases & a baggage allowance

Guess who's getting my business wink

It's just a question of which one of those airlines is most likely to fly hehe

Interesting. I have 400,000 BA miles stored up from business travel, but whenever I've tried to use them for short haul travel over recent years, I've been able to book Easy Jet or Ryan Air flights for less than the cost of the taxes alone on the BA Miles flights! irked

That's a lot to do with Heathrow charging far more than the others.

Also were you redeeming in business class, and now comparing that to budget in economy. Very different Brown jealousy air-taxes on that one.

Budgets are hit and miss. I had two holidays booked with BMIbaby last year. the flights were cheap but they cancelled both and I lost deposits on villas etc. So I used Thomson this year. A bit more but at least you get a flight.
