Decent Hotel near London Victoria

I need to catch a train from London Victoria early on a Thursday morning. So I need a decent, not too pricey hotel nearby.

It's years since I lived in London, so i don't know what's available. Any recommendations?

I stress: I don't want five star, I just need a clean, comfortable hotel for one night.

I stayed at the Park Plaza which is 2 min walk from Victoria station. The company paid for it so can't comment on price but it was very nice.

Victoria is littered with not very cheap and nasty traveller hotels. There are some slightly better ones around Ebury st, but even some of them are backpacker grubby. I assume you are Gatwick bound, otherwise I would look to travel some of the way out the evening before and stop away from Victoria.
