Has anybody lived on the British Virgin Islands?
Discussion
An interesting conversation the other day lead to the prospect of a job in the BVI, with (I assume) some travel and work in other islands nearby.
Before I progress too far - does anybody have any experience of this neck of the woods? Primarily, how much do you need to be able to live well (net, as its very low tax) and also what kind of a life a single, early 30s, guy could expect?
I'm slightly worried this could be career suicide, but at the moment am thinking of the immediate benefits/problems.

I've got a mate out there, I know it's not much information but better than any other responses so far!
He reckons food, or basically anything imported, is expensive. Think $6 for a litre of orange juice, etc.
You can only import goods to the islands if you have the proper authorisations from local government, so the import companies have got a bit of a stranglehold on what they can charge even for basics.
As for other living costs, I'm afraid I really don't know, he hasn't mentioned it!
