I am going on holiday to Portugal on Monday, flying with the luxurious outfit that is Ryanair.

My name (as it shows in my passport) is Tom, but on the ticket it is down as Thomas - I have already checked in online and it says names cannot be changed after this.

Will they let me on the plane?

They would have charged me £100 to change it, but that can only be done before checking in, which I have already done.

Naturlly they dont have an email address, so I am forced to ring their premium rate phone number. What do deaf peaople do to contact them?

personally ring them and ask if they think it'd be ok. It's not like it says Dave on one and Bob on the other...

I was going to ring them today - but its a quid a minute! They even have another number (5p/min) that is purely to complain about the premium rate number!

Just going to chance it I think. If not I can get a flight on weds for £70, which is half the price of changing the name

I'm sure it'll be fine! It's common sense for them to accept it, it'll cause them hassle to not let you on.

It has happened to me, on American Airlines, Phil instead of Philip, booked by a colleague. Got told off by the gate security in the USA, but was allowed to travel. No hassle at check in.

They also charge £40 at the airport if you fail to print off your boarding pass before you arrive there. Total theft.

But on the other hand name me a cheaper way to get from Stanstead to Genoa for the Sanremo rally than £37 return! You want 'service' go Alitaliarofl

Who mentioned anything about service? You would have paid double the complete flight price if you had forgotten your printed off boarding pass rolleyes Also, that route has now been dropped between October and March, another great trick from Ryan Air. Still, they're a big success with the gullible smile
