Greece last minute - is it safe?

Thinking about a cheap package in September for a couple of weeks of sun etc. We'd like Greece, but in view of the state of the place, is it a safe bet? All views gratefully received

We're booked to go early October to one of the islands.

I don't have a problem with it, nor do I see any reason why you should.

What do you think is going to be unsafe about it? It's no different from any other destination that could be having strikes or financial difficulties.
