30th Birthday

It's my 30th next month and for the last few years my Girlfriend has been saying she had something special planned for me. I never really thought much of it as that's exactly the crap I would say to win brownie points without doing anything.

So last month she told me to book a week of work and that I would need the Hep A jab - although she insists this is more to do with what we are doing when we get there than where we are going. She even convinced the nurse to let her fill in the form so j wouldn't know any details.

The clues I have are

Takes two flights each way. First one is from Glasgow.
I (she) has packed lots of light clothing, but not really beachwear.
The main present is not the trip itself, but what we are doing on one of the days.
I have insect repellant as well as a rain jacket.

Can't believe she has kept this such s secret and even my mates haven't let me in on it.

As you can imagine I am more than a little excited. While I will find out tomorrow where I am going. Won't find out about the day trip until the day in question.

So ph detectives, where is she taking me?

It's looking good so far. First flight is to Dubai!!!

What makes this extra special is she has saved up to do this on her own, despite quitting her job four years ago to go to uni - just qualified as a primary teacher. So a trip like this is not an every day event for us.
