Buying Virgin Airmiles - How??

Having a had a good look around the Virgin Flyer members area I can see that the cost to upgrade from Economy to premium economy is 10-20,000 miles.
But where can I buy these and how much is it?
I suspect its very obvious but I cannot see it for the love of looking.

The extras you get though, IMO, don't really stack up. It's nice to get off the plane a bit quicker, get on first, the little bit of a more personal service. But it's not 'business class' by any means.
I'd be happier with the extra cash in my pocket.
Upper Class, however, wonderful. But not something that I can afford to do too often!
Just called them directly as as I currently have no Virgin miles at all (first flight with them shortly) I cannot buy them personally need someone else to buy then gift them to me - with me paying them).
It appears that 1000 miles is £30 and 20,000 miles is £315.
The premium economy is quite an upgrade though much bigger seats much more legroom in which you can laze back a lot more than in Economy.
Ive done BA Club World on a 12 hr before one way and Cattle the reverse.... what a difference your treated like a king, I had the new seats. Wonderful meals, glass & metal cutlery, very quiet when trying to sleep vs economy, super clean toilets, instant service (way out I drank quite a few bottles of their bubbly & scotch) on the way back had to make do with London Pride but due to long waiting for delivery of said ale I ordered 2 every time and pretty much as soon as the 2 new ones delivered I requested more/called the attention button.
Legroom to me is king.
Thats why Id like Premium economy over Economy a lot better on space and not crazy £.
I do wonder how good 1st is have heard many talk about it - bragging IMHO as in talking over loudly OH I normally travel 1st have to make do with Club this time round but its quite a step down isnt it.

Were off to Antigua so 9 odd hours from memory of the tickets. Is that worth it for the trip?
It's about £200 each way per person. If you have £800 to do it, then do it.
Personally, I'd be stepping off the plane into the sun and being genuinely happy with having £800 in my back pocket. First Class etc is reserved purely for business travel and when the parents invite me away these days - used to do PE a lot until I realised it really wasn't worth it. But that is based on MY own disposable income so everyone is different.

You can buy extra miles on the VA website, for your own use, and not gifted to anyone else.But where can I buy these and how much is it?

Flew with BA last week and was horrified to find out that they no longer do London Pride..... AHHHHHHHH instead Lager only... Anyway of trying to get BA to stock some Ale?
What do virgin offer - Im assuming all drinks are gratis during the flight excl Champers for Eco class.
As above, I'd go PE if someone else was paying, but I wouldn't bother if I was.
PE on the A340's is especially disappointing as the cabin is so small, with only 2 toilets which the hoi polloi tend to use too. The small cabin means you're either close to the Upper Class galley or next to the toilets :thumbdown:

Having said that, BA economy is better than VA.

The biggest benefit on VA is the dedicated check in / bag drop desk, front of the queue when they recheck your ID etc at the gate, first on and off the plane.
To me, that is worth the money alone. NY the other week was a joy-I didnt have to queue anywhere-which is what I hate most about travel.
On top of that you get the lovely big leather seats (on LHR departures), proper cutlery and glasses etc etc tec.
