Hi guys,

I'm looking for somewhere warm and cheap to take the kids at half term (yes I know it won't be very cheap) but as I have 4 kids the cheaper the better.

I was thinking the cheapest destination that likely to be warm is the Canaries.

Any suggestions of area / websites is welcome as I can't find any that just let you choose a date they all want which airport & destination - I just want the cheapest option as so far the best price I've seen is £1650 for a week self catering which seems a bit much.

Is it even possible / worthwhile trying to ferry / drive anywhere ?

Cheers

Have a look on here:

In Lanzarote, the Santa Rosa apartments seem to get a good review.

Try Las Velasquez apartments in Puerto del Carmen. We stayed there years ago and found it very good, and I see they're still getting excellent reviews.

We've just booked a week on a Neilson activity holiday in Greece (they have a few deals currently), but they run them in Turkey and in October should be still fairly warm. All tuition is included and does seem good for kids and adults alike.

Thanks teletext (online) turned out to be easy to use and once I worked out I had to seach as 2 adults + 1 child then 2 adults + 1 infant there was loads of choice.

The websites can't work out that 6 people can be easily fitted into 2 rooms apparently.

We stayed in the Castle Harbour appartments in Los Christianos in Tenerife.

- A bit of walking required at night but very good for the price all in all.
