Kuala Lumpur - activities
Discussion
I'm visiting Kuala Lumpur in November for 3 nights at the start of my honeymoon.
While the future Mrs Hoddo is there she will celebrate her 30th birthday and I would very much like to surprise her with an activity/experience.
Can anyone recommend something of interest/exciting activity that I could surprise her with while we are there.
Thanks
................and even if there was an oxo tower there I want better suggestions than going up it.

If you haven't booked yet, we stayed in Hotel Maya. Good value for what is a very nice hotel. It has a bar high up with a terrace which looks across to the towers

Don't bother with the Petronas Towers, you have to get up early a cue for an allocated time later on in the day. Instead go up the telecom tower nearby and go up as high as you would but get 360 degree view of city and look at the Petronas Tower, you can also stay up there as long as you want as aposed to the 15 mins in the Petronas Towers.
China Town and Times Square are good for some shopping.
Batu caves are near to KL also.

Just got back from KL, agree that the KL tower is probably a better bet than Petronas towers. You get to go higher up so get a better view. Went to the Battu caves which is around 30 minutes out of town, I cannot really think of anything as a nice surprise but perhaps get your wallet out and let the misses run free in Pavilion or starhill galley. Food wise we were really disappointed with the restaurants in KL but then we had just come from Penang. My advise is if you want street style hawker food and do not want food poisoning try the food court in Pavilion.
A few taxi drivers mentioned a theme park further on from Battu caves in a place called Genting, could be good for a laugh if you have a enough time.
