Full Turkish bath and
Massage at the start of the hol (helps with tanning apparently). Also do the boat trip to the Dalyan Delta to visit the sulphur springs, mud baths, tombs and turtle beach.

Emre Beach, just after a last minute cheap and cheerful break with a bit of sun but the place actually looks quite reasonable and the reviews weren't too bad either.

From experience don't do that on your last day of your holiday after 6 days of non stop drinking. Ha ha.

We did a carpet factory, the boat trip including turtle beach and a Turkish massage all on the last day on the airport transfer, was a good day.

To be fair we went to the mud baths but I was so hungover I just sat in the shade trying to keep my lunch down!

Spend your whole time trying to NOT get pulled into a leather jacket shop.

Went there for a day back in the late 90s, god forsaken place, never ever again.

Turkish bath on your first day to prep your skin for some long lasting tanning.

And a full Turkish shave before you come home. If done properly and in full you come out feeling and looking a million dollars.

I can't comment on Marmaris but where I go in Bitez I get a full shave and top end massage for £4.

So this works then? Seen a couple of people mention getting the bath right at the start of the hol to get a better tan, but thought it was one of these "all in the head" type things.

If it does help then i'll book myself in for one smile

I've been to Mamaris 6 times, family loved it and been took the ex, its a beatiful place. I would recommend the standard things really, turkish massage and hire a boat for the day. Really cheap and they go to some great coves and provide lunch.

I wouldnt recommned the turtle beach and boat trip to the kings temples, takes ridiculous amount of time to travel, you never see turtles. The only good things is a beach were on one side salt water and other side fresh water.

The boat includes a mud bath but you can go closer ones just as good.

Down the front of the hardbour in the evening is beautiful and mnay restaurant but you can go to local areas such as Icmila(sp?) on a bus for around a £1 return or get the water taxi. Scuba diving is amazing also but can be expensive.

I would avoid the jeep Safari, heard some shocking things about saftey etc and not being great.
Have a good holiday!

Definately. A good scrub gets rid of all the dead skin which allows not so much better tannin, but skin that is conditioned better to keep that colour for longer. Less peeling too.

Plus it is quite a nice experience once you get over the fat Turkish bloke lathering you up with a loofer!

Buy carefully though. The baths on the tourist traps aren't a patch on the places the tourists don't know off...

Thing is you are likely to get a small amount of sunburn etc, so a turkish bath will be pretty painful after this happens.
