Recommend me a hotel/guesthouse in the Scottish highlands
Discussion
I want to take the GF to the Scottish highlands shortly and preferably the west coast area as she's never been further than bloody Blackpool and want to show her what all the fuss is about.
I've been all over Scotland pretty much and have stayed in some reasonable hotels as well as some right dives over the years but being with mates on boozy weekends the hotel standards have not been priority.
Anyway we intend on going for a few days and need a hotel/guesthouse that wont break the bank.
Its needs to have the following:
Great views either from the hotel or nearby.
Clean rooms (they dont have to be extravagent though just clean)
Close to a village for pubs/retaurants etc.
Something with a bit of Scottish character.
Oh and did i mention - Cheapish.
On short time at the moment so really cant go breaking the bank.
Thanks for your help chaps.

I stayed here last year:

Probably the nicest guesthouse I've stayed in within the UK. Got a pretty good deal through laterooms. Did a road trip from Leeds to the Isle of Lewis and this was one of our stops. They have a full size snooker table which I thought was a nice touch.

It's a traditionally run family hotel. Good food, great service amazing views.
