I've gone through transit at Dubai fairly often, never had aproblem with any prescription drug I use for BP or Colestorol. Its not as bad as you think looking at wb sites, I wouldn't take vidios and cd's throught Dubai, but I think today that that is just a hang up I have from years ago.

Sorry didn't want to start you worrying, the answer is no not know. But years ago If you went into Dubai with vidios's they didn't like it, and it was not unknown for them to hold them back and view them, and you had to go back and collect them, and all sorts of main stream stuff was confiscated, carry on fims and the like, so people didn't take them, these days no one looks at cd's so no problem today just a throw back people my age have.
My experience is that prescription drugs are not a problem, they know what they are, as I say don't over react, the only problem I've had in Dubai is bordom. custom men know what they are looking for and 14 days supply of a tablet or medicine wont cause a problem.

If your DVDs will be checked then you'll be fine.

Have a look through their banned substances list keeping in mind some things may or may not be called by their brand name rather than what it contains. I take prescription antihistamines through DXB once a year or so, but I get a written note from the doctor explaining why I need it and pack that with the pills in my checked luggage. Never had a problem.
