Having been given the honour of being best man for my mates wedding, it now falls to me to organise the stag do. The criteria I've been given are:

1. Must have cheap flights from Cardiff/Bristol as well as Gatwick.
2. Must have titty bars. rotate
3. Mustn't be stupidly cold (so most/all of Eastern Europe is out)

Favorite so far looks like Magaluf, but I was wondering how lively it would be at that time of year? I've found a couple of bars that seem to meet criteria 2 but I'm not even sure they'll be open in the winter (I've e-mailed them, but got no reply).

So any thoughts/experiences would be much appreciated as well as any alternative suggestions.

Weekends will be reasonably lively as its become a bit of a stag/hen mecca over the last few years, otherwise it will be quiet at that time of year. Temp your looking at mid to high teens. Seriously though, Magaluf is a bit of a hole, If you're intent on going there for the party atmosphere I'd stay in Palmanova as the hotels/area are just a bit nicer and its still within staggering/short taxi distance of Magaluf for the nightlife.

I've been out to Majorca a few times in the past 5 or 6 years and visited Magaluf a couple of times for nights out, once being in March and it was dead, literally, apart from 1 or 2 bars and i really mean 1 or 2 it was completely closed.

We went into 1 of the 2 bars and they said the holiday reps were starting to arrive but no tourists.

I think anywhere Mediteranean is gonna be shut until May, so your probably best off looking at Eastern Europe which meets all your criteria, or ask your mate to delay the wedding so you can go in summer

Look at Tenerife (Playa del las americas) it will be hotter & far more lively.

Thanks guys. Magaluf is definitely out now, so we'll probably go for Prague, which is a bit of a compromise on the temperature but hey ho!

Why, when Tenerife meets your criteria?

Much cheaper flights. We have quite a range of disposable incomes among the group so are trying to keep it as reasonable as possible.

I'd tend to agree with this (was going to say so when you first posted, but I knew you'd already said low temps were out)...

I've had a couple of wicked holidays getting on it in Prague with the lads - and there's plenty of great restaurants and more cultural stuff to see and do to round the weekend off if it all gets a bit much!... Went in January once which was bloody freezing (I'm not a fan of the cold myself!), but a few extra layers and plenty of local beer and it really doesn't matter!

Also been to Majorca (Palma) in mid-March and just found it dull and cold weather wise - definitely a spring/ summer destination IMHO!
