November- 3 weeks- Talk to me.
Discussion
I think we've been here before!
Anyway, I have speculatively booked 3 weeks off in November for what appears to be becoming my annual "b
ks to you!" solo holiday. This year's break is dedicated to my recently ex girlfriend. As, in fact, last year's was- Although she wasn't ex then!
I have been harbouring thoughts about a railway journey in India however am starting to think that this might be too much like hard work.
So, over to you. 2-3 weeks, somewhere hot. The "budget" doesn't even exist yet, so take it as "tight"- Therefore I'm looking for backpackery-type places because they also tend to be fairly good for singles.
I've done Thailand to death, although if I completely run out of ideas I might just go to Koh Lanta and sit on a beach for a fortnight because I love it there. Flights to Thailand seem to be consistently about £500 and this is probably my upper limit.
Surprise me!

How about about a couple of weeks in Laos and Vietnam, bloody cheap and great fun!
Not a bad suggestion, TBH. I love SE Asia and have been to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia but nowhere else- Does appear that Vietnam is a bit more "backpacker-y" too...Vietnam would get my vote too.
I haven't done "backpackery" type stuff myself, but IIRC November's quite dry in North & South Vietnam, where the monsoon seasons hit over different months.
I would love to go back to 'Nam and cover the distance by train rather than plane.
Enjoy, whatver you decide to do!
