I love berlin.
If you like Museums the whole museuminsul, (island( has some spectacular stuff. Checkpoint Charlie is very touristy but fun to visit. The Reichstag has an English Language tour on TUesdays that is free and very interesting. The restaurant on the roof is good. There are still some good strips of the wall, thought the most famous, (the East side gallery) has been repainted and just looks too new now. The Topography of Terror which is a look at the Gestapo is situated right over the original Gestapo Headquarters, (formerly no.8 Prinz AlbrechtStrasse,) now on Niederkircherstrasse.
There are no excellent restaurants including several Michelin starred ones. If you are into cars, then a visit ti Meilenwerke is a bargain, free. It is where exotic car dealers and enthusiasts park their cars and there is some amazing stuff there......
Also you can take a trabant tour.....

for nightlife, head to the old russian sector. there are far too many really cool places in berlin to drink and mingle, such individuality in their design/music/drinks that we don't get over here. white trash fast food was probably the best club we went to.

love berlin, it's a true 24hr city. not the prettiest by some margin, and german cuisine makes brit grub look positively cordon bleu, but it can't be beaten for nightlife imo.

Berlin fking rocks!

Nightlife, culture, sights, general 'vibe'. Its amazing!

And yeah, get yourself a bicycle. You can rent them for a few euros a day and there are tours too. Just ask at the reception of wherever you are staying and they'll have loads.

Amazing city - to what others have suggested I would add sachsenhausen concentration camp on the outskirts of the city. Not for everybody but worth a visit.

Also, went for a city tour in a trabant - like a lawn mover with a roof but great fun.

Remember, the more 'is this club in a disused warehouse?!', the better!
