I'm there with the Mrs tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) and have about 4 hours to get a late lunch and drink, take her to see some shops, and generally have a look around. Any suggestions for where to head would be much appreciated. We are staying at the Radisson Edwardian if that helps.

Buggar all I'm afraid - it really is a business district.

There is an indoor sterile shopping centre, usual bars / restaurants, The 02 arena isn't a million miles away but no idea if there is anything on. Billingsgate Fish Market is worth a wonder round but that only opens in the morning so doesn't fit your timescales.

I suggest jumping on the DLR back into the City / Central London - there is much more choice of touristy stuff to do.

Thanks flyingjase. I think we might head into town on the dlr like you suggest.

The hotel pool, spa, and looks appealing too

Wee bit pricier than the tube, but worth getting one of the boats down the river, as you get to see the sights rather than miserable Londoners that want you to f**k off.
