We're planning to stop in Weston for about 2 hours tomorrow lunchtime to break up a longer trip. We've never been so I'd appreciate some pointers for child-friendly food and entertainment, please.

Cheers thumbup

Was about to say, if you're expecting a nice quiet lunch....go elsewhere!

Alternatively, if you can get into the best fish and chip restaurant do - can't remember the name but it was a road back from the front and REALLY good fish and chips.

Thanks guys. Not too worried about quiet, just wanted to see what it's like.

Winstons (past the big wheel)

the piers actually quite decent, havent been for about 15yrs due to all the arcade/fruit machine playing sorts it attracts, but was pleasantly surprised. Burning down was the best thing thats happened to it.
your kids will love it - try the "lazer" game with them.. im 33 and had a blast with the mrs biggrin .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81NcVU6gsek

there's a bar there too and had a nice pint.

the towns undergone alot of work on the seafront recently (not yet finished) - its vastly improved the place so im sure you'll enjoy.

Thanks, we went to Rustique Steak House, and then to the wheel. The restaurant was quite reasonable.

I think there is an aquarium on the main seafront where the kids can touch stingrays in their pool . Sure it's Weston, not Minehead I'm thinking of.
