Planning on going over the pond to the states next year. We've got friends going to Vegas in July, so we need to include that. We'd also like to go to NYC, San Francisco and Austin (family there).

Anyone with any advise which is the best order to do them in? For cheaper flights etc. Like I say, we need to be in Vegas in July, but other destinations are flexible with dates either side of Vegas.

I've thought about driving from Vegas to San Fran, just under 600 miles. Something I've wanted to do (drive across country in the states).

I would strongly recommend doing the drive from San Francisco to Vegas!
3 years ago, we did it the opposite way, but it was great. We stopped in Yosemite for 2 nights (A day to do walks in the park etc), overnight stop in Bishop, a nice little town outside the park, and Sacramento. (From Las Vegas, Bishop - Yosemite -Sacramento)

Yosemite and Death Valley is well worth a visit, spectacular scenery and some great roads! (Tioga Pass especially!)

Just a little bit of info there, hope it helps a little!
