So the wife and I are flying to cuba on Wednesday, and it appears Hurricane Tomas may be joining us shortly thereafter. Having never experienced a tropical storm / hurricane abroad, this rather feels like dark-trousers time. Am I being a sissy or should I actually be concerned?

I'd check your travel insurance covers you traveling to a destination of forecast activity like that.

Most of the forcast models show the storm tracking to the east of Cuba and making landfall over Haiti instead of Cuba, also the storm has been downgraded to a tropical storm.

Worth keeping an eye on this site though http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
