Anyone know about snowboarding / skiing in Japan?

I've got agreement for a boys holiday to Japan in Feb

There will be 3 of us - 1 intermediate skier, 1 expert boarder and 1 novice boarder

We have never been to Japan before, so would apprecaite a recommendation for on where to go.

We would like some reasonable night life as well (not too mad as we're all in our mid - late 30's!)

Any ideas?
