Air Asia - Any good?
Discussion
Thanks
In the mean time I've found some photos of their Premium seating: http://picasaweb.google.com/johan.farid/AirAsiaSNe... (They're the lie almost-flat ones in that gallery)
You dont get any in-flight entertainment but for the cost saving you could buy a laptop and pre-load it with a load of films. The seats have a power outlet too.

I fly air asia domestic, at least once a week, every week, and they are very good you get what you pay for, but their long haul is no cheaper than any one else, or so I've found, when I look at booking, and if you ge the premium seats thay are more expesive than both Thia and Malaysia.
The other thing that puts me off their long haul is eccess baggage, no experience on the long haul but they are strict on bags on the domestic flights.
With air taxes in the UK have you looked at hopping to Amsterdam and doing the long one from there. Thats the way we are going at christmas.

Presuming you've booked this as 2 separate flights in order to dodge the envy tax? In which case if your flight to AMS is delayed and you miss your onward flight, then you have little protection (apart from travel insurance, hopefully).

I took about 12 different flights with them all over SE Asia including a flight from Brisbane to KL and the KL to Stans
te airport.
All on time, great prices and staff were friendly (girls were hot).
No complaints other than a bit a wait at KL to check-in, but will definitely use them again!

I have used them domestically and internationally in Asia and the service has always been decent. The stewardesses seemed hotter than any others I'd see in a good while too
There were delays on my most recent flight from KUL to Laos, but these were due to the airport rather than the airline and they did keep us up to date very well!
