Chaps, I'm really struggling to find a decent quality short break skiing trip in Ischgl. My father is fairly elderly now, and thinks he has only one season left in him, and probably only a few days at that. I haven't skiied with him for over 20 years, so would like to take him. He loves Austria, and Ischgl is where he learned to ski in the 50s, so it seems somehow fitting to go back there.

Trouble is the usual suspects only do week trips out there, and of the short-breaks, they're only on specific dates (IE the few days after NY for some peverse reason).

Any ideas of where to try? I've contacted a couple of the hotels directly to see if I can at least get accomodation, and then will sort flights/transfers later, but no joy thus far.

I imagine the expensive hotels can probably be more flexible with dates, we managed an extra night at the Christine without issue. I suspect Madlein and Trofana could probably do it too. The smaller places are family run and setup for the whole week stay (though some people abandon after a long weekend). Easy to fly in to via Innsbruck or Zurich.

P.S. Good choice on venue, say hello to the fine bar staff at the Kitzloch.
