I'm quite keen to go somewhere like Lapland for New Years Eve. It'd just be me and the Girlfriend. Does anyone know any good places to go, or where & how to book it?
Cheers

Took the (now wife) otherhalf to the Icehotel for a long weekend to celebrate getting engaged around then.

We did husky sledding, midnight snowmobiling, horse trecking etc.

Want me to lookup details? think it was from

Arctic Direct - arcticdirect.co.uk

Been with discover the world.

Flew Man - Helsinki - Ivalo then stayed at Kakslautanen which had all the usual Lappish fun including a night in a igloo and then log cabins with own sauna etc. Highly recommended

You can book Kakslautanen direct and save a few quid.

Get over there, prob one of my favourite holidays.

We stopped at Helsinki on the way back which was a bit toss.

But we didn't fly to Stockholm, we did it direct from Heathrow. And it wasn't full board. So it looks to have been tweaked.

One night in "cold" accomodation, 2 nights warm. Huskies, Snowbmoile, Horse riding .. and a few nights getting drunk in the Absolut Bar.

If you'd like to see some pics, drop me an email.

After 3 days there we still didn't get to see the northern lights. So we are tempted by Iceland to try again.
