Dubai/ Abu Dhabi 1st week of Jan?

For some winter sun with wife and 2 kids aged 8 and 9. Any reason not to, or anything to be aware of?
Not any need to sight-see etc just to relax with no hassle and have some decent food and service after a long year.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Lovely weather here now - nothing to worry about - one thing that you have to admire the locals for is that they worship 'family', so everything will be fine.

Arriving next wednesday for 6 nights to Dubai!!!! Really looking forward to the break as weather is good this time of year.. Staying at mina al Salam, lovely hotel on the beach

Couldn't agree more, nearly had to break out a jumper, I think it got down to a Baltic like 20 a couple of nights ago.

Mina al Salam is a great hotel. Check out the Meat Company for steaks and Bare Bar for some sundowners
