Flotilla holiday - Greek Islands

Never sailed before but the missus and I are warming to the idea of messing around on boats with other likeminded people for a couple of weeks.

Any major pitfalls?

Great thanks - the reason why it has come up is that we were out on a mates boat here in Dubai at the weekend and it was blissful. Would like to learn to sail with a view to buying in the future.

It was some 15 years ago now, but I did it with my GF at the time. I had a little dingy sailing experience, GF had none. Stayed on-shore for the first week, took the training, moved onto the yacht the 2nd week. Had a really good time, but be prepared for some potential rows between you both. Without a clear skipper, tended to argue about the best way to do things.

Ionian area in Greece is lovely, some great places to anchor for a dip, and to moor in the evening.
