advice please. i've got ten days with the other half.few days in singapore and then hopefully a few days on a beach resort fairly close by. i've got a freind in KL and so another option would be a flight up there as i believe the malaysian beach resorts come well recommended.any input greatly appreciated.

As I've said before Kl is good for a few days but it is a shopping city, not much else, if you have amte who knows his way around you'll find some good night life. Malaysian beach resorts are Ok but Thai one's are better Not much in the South near Sing, Tioman is Ok, have alooka t going to Batam Bintang In Indonesia 4O min by boat fro Sing and good golf is great, you could fly to Krabbie for afew days Ah Nang beach is good, I always staya t the Beach Terrece, up market Thai Hotel not 5 star, and no package tourists.

For Singapore, the Zoo and Night Safari are a must. Sight seeing around Marina Bay (awesome views from the top deck) and have a mosey around China Town and Arab Street, as well as shopping on Orchard Road.

Bintan/Batam - if you like golf, Bintan is a must (have a look at Ria Bintan) but have heard that the resorts are pricey and not in great condition. I'd head up to Thailand for the beaches, or possibly do Langkawi and then head up to some of the Thai Islands (Koh Lipe etc) by speedboat.

If you can give us an idea of what you like doing, that would help. KL, you could probably cram into a day or two at a push - why not fly into SIng and back from KL or BKK?

For KL see the twin towers, some good partying, perhaps a trip to Genting or Cameroon highlands.

Beach resourts go to Thailand, Phukett, Krabi, Koh Samui etc etc.

Any specific interests? Diving / walking / golf etc etc
