Hi,

Just looked a our flight back from lax to lhr tomorrow and it's been canceled... They say to all them on the 23rd for an update!

It doesn't give any more info on what to do... Now I have to give the corvette back tomorrow and have no hotel... I also loose the train tickets I booked in the uk!

A great end to our honeymoon!!

Any tips??

Thanks in advance!

Don't the airliine have to provide you with accomodation?

If I was in your position I'd call my insurance company.

Call the Langham hotel in Pasadena and book through to after Xmas. Ask airline for availability on 27/28 then fly back. Call insurance and see if you can claim some of the money.

Get out and enjoy Pasadena. The hotel is excellent, the food is excellent as is the service. Lovely place the enjoy christmas with your new wife.

I'd swap but it looks like I'm one of the 'lucky' ones my flight back to the uk is scheduled.

Thanks for the reply field!

Having issues calling virgin to re book..... The line is busy constantly!!

Wife is just ringing our insurance company to find out what we get!!

Having spent a fair bit on the honeymoon it's going to be painful to start racking up a big bill in a nice hotel but can't have our first Christmas married in some scruffy hole!

Grrrr just my luck!

I'm not sure that the airline has any obligation with a weather delay (US domestic airlines certainly don't). If their aircraft becomes unservicable, or they overbook, they have to step up to the plate, but I think weather is considered an act of sky daddy.

Get yourself up to Manhattan Beach and book into this hotel. Very good value for money (free wine with dinner) and visit the resaurant called the Copper Pot (or Kettle)down Manhattan Boulevard.

Residence Inn Los Angeles LAX/Manhattan Beach
1700 North Sepulveda Boulevard, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, United States.

Yes thanks, ended up driving back up Vegas and flying out of there on the 24th.

Just hope Virgin repay me as agreed!

Anybody any experience of getting money back of them?

Thanks for all the replies!
