HI all,

I'm looking to buy my parents some hotel vouchers for weekend break and ideally I would like to give them vouchers to spend wherever and whenever they wish.. However the only site I can find is: http://www.hotelvouchershop.com/individualvoucher....

Does anyone have any experience with these guys, or can you suggest a better idea?

Thank you in advance for any input!

Give them cash.
There's nothing quite like a voucher for saying "I couldn't be arsed to sort anything out, so here's some vouchers, you sort it out"

Alternatively, find out where they want to go and arrange it for them.

Thanks for the great advise.
If only you understood.

I cant see a benefit from dealing with that company. I certainly would not want to be sending them my money and then deciding to booka hotel at a later day.

Reading the t's and c's you are effectively paying them to act as booking agent, having deposited money toward the hotel. If they decide a room cost £120 that's the price, even if you can find it online for £80.

Why not give them a nice card with a "voucher" for a hotel inside. They pick the hotel, you pay for it. Much safer and you can negotiate with the hotel (and cancel / change if you need to).
