Just sharing a NYC photoblog... see below for link.

I had a great 5 night trip in Nov. to NYC and whilst I hadn't been for many years, the wife had never been. I got lots of ideas here on PH by reading some of the old threads - a great resource and thanks to anyone who helped. I thought id' contribute further to the archives with some photos showing what we did.

I guess we did all the main things like Empire state, Chrysler, Circle Line cruise, Broadway show, rockerfeller centre etc.. but probably the best was just wandering around soaking it all up, whether it was chelsea, chinatown or the posh upper east side. Weather was cracking too for november as it can be pot luck that time of year. One of my favourite things though was the hockey which really gives a flavour and atmosphere. Things we didn't get to so were a tour through the bronx and coney island... those would have been next on the list.

Great photographs! I spent some time reading your link, it's funny how you take a place for granted when you live there.....

That's a very good set of images, though i really don't like the wonky-ness of a lot of them.

Is one of your legs shorter than the other?

Just wondering as most of the photos are at all sorts of slant?

Great photo's, your feet must have been killing you after all that walking. It's almost twenty years since I was in N.Y. and although your shots of the skyline taken from what I assume was Liberty Island are great, it just looks odd without the twin towers, don't you think?

Is that the table from When Harry Met Sally?

Also, do you put your photos through any form of post for the colours? Or are you using a Leica and letting it do it's 'thing'?

thanks guys, yes tons of walking.... the wife was fitter than me !

we also went to smolenskys on 53rd which was well worth it if you like massive steaks and cured meat

i think i've convinced her to come with me to Japan/Tokyo in 2011... here's hoping

@boyfold, yes that's the table and yes most of the pics have a fair bit changed, not just the colours but all types of processing on them to get a certain look & feel

I live in New York (almost I'm in Hoboken looking at the empire state building) and I loved Tokyo. Very impressive and can be used as a spring board to the rest of asia.
