Recommend me somewhere like Kefalonia

After enjoying a fantastic holiday in Kefalonia last year, the wife and I are struggling to find somewhere to book for this year that offers similar to Kefalonia, e.g. great beaches, different places to visit by car, authentic/inexpensive restaurants, resorts with only great shops & tavernas and no egg n chips tat cafes etc.

I booked the holiday to Kefalonia last year on the strength of posts in this very forum, so I'm hoping that posting here will result in some great suggestions this time around.

You might like Tinos - may have changed, but 7-8 years ago we didn't mean another brit! Couple of dutch, that was it. It was a 'Greek' holiday destination. None of the restaurants had anything other than Greek menus, very very very nice! Harder to get to tho - you would need to fly to Athens or Mykonos (or another airport in the cyclades or close by) and then jump on a ferry. Easy enough to do islands like Mykonos (for party) or Delos (amazing historical island) in a day.
