£500 pp budget decent holiday choices??
Discussion
I really want to get away this summer as haven't been abroad for a couple of years now, the only problem is that the OH works for a local boarding school so any holiday has to be within school holidays.
Now I'm open to ideas or places to go but does anyone know of any places where a £500 pp budget could yield a good holiday?? I could spend a extra £100 pp if the deal was really good but as I would be paying for both tickets couldn't stretch anymore then that, ideally anywhere apart from Spain, Turkey, Egypt and hopefully all inclusive

Maybe speak to peltours. They are egypt specialists and may be willing to offer you a last minute / late notice deal.
I've used them for holidays in Taba which was good, once doing the deal ask for star service on the flight. It's only a bit more legroom but means you dont have to queue at check in with everyone else.
My offer would be, you'll go at 3 days notice any week between xx and xx. They guarantee that you will get a holiday between those dates. They'll use you as filler on a plane with empty seats as they charter themselves.
Regarding hotels sofitel is your goal, marriot your minimum. Good luck
I would suggest having a play on lowcostholiday.com
They beat all the competitors for my holiday this year.
Saved about £400 compared to the travel agents and some established online sites.
Also noting your best bet is to cover a weekend on your jollies. e.g. wednesday - wednesday. Unsure why, but we found this much cheaper.

I looked at a very highly reviewed hotel in Salou on there for about £550 pp all inc in mid July
Hotel was the Hotel Villamarina
Jardines Paraisol also looked good
Only downside is its low cost flights so prob Ryanair + £24 per case (15kgs max) per leg (in the cost above though)

Only other downside is that this will not be a package deal, so make sure you book by credit card in case they go bust as you'll get nothing back from ABTA.I looked at a very highly reviewed hotel in Salou on there for about £550 pp all inc in mid July

Hardly any package holidays go ti ts up.
Cyprus all inclusive mid June looks just about in your budget, maybe a hundred more or so.
I'm guessing you'd be going from Birmingham?
There'll be plenty of bargains to be had, now or I'd say maybe even coming up to the lates you could go. Only thing is I'd see late deals in June July to be quite short as alot of people holiday at them times.
What are you mainly looking to get out the holiday?
Have you looked at Tunisia? If it is the sun and all inclusive you are looking for then Tunisia would probably be in budget.
Get onto tripadvisor to see what places you'd fancy.

Well there is no holiday rep (A good thing in my book) just pick a flight & pick a hotel/appartment etc (which you should choose based on the reviews)
Pay your money and go, any problems must be if it all goes wrong & the airline or hotel/appartment don't resolve it ??
