holiday in the Lake District

looking to have a week in the lake district this summer, poss early july, can anyone recommend a cottage to rent, or even a hotel thats reasonable, just for me and the mrs.
the cottages look good, but expensive, and so many to choose from, anyone on here have one?

must have off road parking without huge speed bumps.

In the best bit of the Lakes (IMHO - lived there for two years simply because I thought so!) Loweswater, Crummock and Buttermere surround you, with Keswick a short drive away.
