seem to have increased considerably... frown

Over the past 4-5 years we have always managed to get BA/Virgin into either Orlando or Miami for somewhere between £1,750 and £2,250 for a family of 4. This year I'm struggling to beat £3,000, even on non-direct flights... frown

Any top tips?

Any views on whether we will see prices coming down....?

Cheers

Restricted to end of July/beginning of August due to important years for kids at school....previous years been going at Easter so even busier/more expensive!

I know, which obviously doesn't help....only good thing is that the accommodation is cheaper in July/Aug - only us mad Brits want to be in Florida that time of year.... biggrin

My daughter has just booked for mid to end Aug (it'll be her honeymoon and her intended is a teacher) flying Virgin from MAN to MCO and paid just under £1000 each. Bizzarely, it was bit cheaper booking PE on the return than economy.

As you suggest, that date does get her into somewhat cheaper rates at the Disney hotels, and they include free dining at that time.

It was always £600 each years ago at the start of the summer holidays, even flying Delta to Atlanta and then shuttle down to Orlando. I used to reckon on £3000 for flights for the 4 of us, and car hire, booked as a fly-drive package, which was usually cheaper than doing is separately.

We went last March for £300 but there's nothing anywhere near that this year.
