As title suggests, when going on holiday, do you....leave all your curtains open, leave them all closed, leave bedroom ones open and lounge closed or visa versa? Or, go for the half open half closed option. Maybe a sidelight on a timer? What do burglars look for?

I use two, or even three, lights on timers, in different rooms, these all come on at random times, curtains closed in the rooms with lights. I also use a radio on a timer which is on during the daytime.

Don't leave an expensive car on the drive, I know of three friends and family who have been burgled for the keys to the car on the drive.

Even more so when you're at home....never mind when you're on holiday!

Problem is, what do you do when you're in? You should get into a habit of leaving curtains half open if you intend to do that when you're out. Otherwise "oh look, curtains half open - they're on holiday again". Timer lights in different rooms is a good idea but make sure they can't see the obvious bulb glow from a lamp that isn't normally used.
