Nokia Satnav in USA?

[shentodj]

I've posted this in the technology forum too, but don't know how to link them. Apologies for duplication.

I've downloaded Florida maps onto my Nokia N95 but don't seem to be able to get Guidance?

I emailed Nokia support, but couldn't understand their answer which just included links to the map downloads. Nothing specific about enabling Guidance (buying a licence).

Any help gratefully receieved.

Thanks in advance,
Shentodj

I thought the maps all came with free guidance? I downloaded the maps for Italy and Morocco around April last year and used them when in both countries. All I did was to type in the address for where I wanted to go, and it came up with the route.

Edit - seems ovi maps won't work on the n95, bummer

I've used Ovi maps on my N95 around Europe (France, Belgium, Holland) but had to buy a Navigation/Guidance licence for Europe.

I don't seem to be able to do the same for USA and was checking whether anyone has managed it?
