Road trip through northern France - suggested routes
Discussion
Am taking the family to the Belgian Grand Prix in August - (decent) tickets all booked YAY.
Anyway, my kids are all petrolheads so we decided to make a ten day French road trip culminating in the GP in Spa. Here's my question, despite having gone to Le Mans on many occasions my knowledge of France is woeful. As such, for people who know France what route would you take? We like 'the great outdoors' (beaches, villages countryside, etc..) and I'd be happy to drive, say, 100 miles a day and stay at a different hotel each night. Although I'm flexible. Am also flexible about which ports to arrive at.
Thanks in advance.

Why not head over to the Alsace-Lorraine area towards the German/Swiss border direction?
You have the Vosges Mountains and some fantastic roads/scenery plus great little towns to stay/visit (Gerardmer is our favourite). You could stop at Reims or Epernay en route do a Champers tour and buy a bottle or two as well. Also take in some WW2 history (Maginot Line etc)in the area.
We've been a few times and love it.
