Goa is a bit of a shock to the senses when you arrive...but chill out as within a couple of days you will be right in the swing of it. Of course if your used to the Burj Al Arab and the like you are going to struggle! If your hyper and want loads of entertainment then perhaps you have chosen the wrong destination though, its definitely a laid back beach based holiday.
Get a taxi driver on your first day and he will stick with you through out your trip. He will take you where ever you want and will suggest plenty of places to see. He will sleep in his van whilst you take it easy on the beach and will wait as long as you want. He will be able to sort you out with most things. They are very cheap
Don't be fazed by eating at the beach shacks...some of the best food I have had, fresh fish cooked over open grills etc. The only downside is the beers tend to be warm as they have no power. Bring a cool box/bag and buy from the supermarket if you cant handle warm beer.
I doubt your friends are into the club scene but this is still a side of Goa where you can meet some strange folk, maybe best not letting two teenagers attend alone. Drugs are available and relatively cheap (so I am told...lol) but the local police are very fond of cash fines which maybe significant
The one thing I would recommend is pay for Premium economy seats as it is a very long way on a charter seat...12 hours I think, the best £250 you could spend.

The waterfalls at Dudhsagar are well worth a visit. You travel to them by minibus/taxi then through a few miles of thick forest in 4x4s on the bumpiest road in the World. It's great fun. Tell them to take some peanuts and bananas with them to feed the monkeys. The water is beautifully cold too.
Tell them NOT to go to Old Goa. It is very dull imo.
As said, it is very chilled out there and the local people are very friendly and chatty.
If you sit on a quiet bit of beach, you aren't alone for long.
If they want a very peaceful day, tell them to get a tuktuk to northern Goa.
You can easily find yourself with a few miles of beach to yourself.
Oh, and tell them not to wander through Calangute at 3 in the morning absolutely hammered. They may find themselves arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
