Simple really, having become single recently, and in need of a nice beach holiday - im looking around for something.

Ideally somewhere nice, warm, beach... lots to do so i dont feel like a lemon on my own, but also good if i could meet some people.

Not sold on the idea of a "group" holiday, but maybe a good idea?

So, any suggestions?

Sorry to hear this Fidg, have you looked into holidays that involve activities where you get to know people like walking holidays or cooking?

There are quite a few aimed at singles that aren't putting the emphasis on single.

I was on a Mark Warner holiday in Kos last year and signed up for one of the sailing courses and met loads of people through that.

Anything that forces you to be taught and then work with others has to be a good thing to do if you are on your own.

SE Asia get's my vote - loads to see and do, and unless you spend every day by the beach/pool, you'll meet loads of people.

I've been skiing with friendshiptravel.com a couple of times and loved it. Some people were telling me about their sunshine holidays which seem to involve tennis and sailing. And usually more women than men. When you go away on your own, you definitely make the effort to talk to people rather than just sticking to the friends you've gone with.

I was hoping to persuade the OH to let me go on a religious retreat by myself as he would hate it. No such luck
