Been there twice and planning on going back this year.

Very nice little resort and area. What do you want to know?

Presumably it is good for a 2 yr old? I think, looking, we will only be able to have a lodge house with her.
Is it all sand, pools and resort or can you go off and look at ancient stuff? I personally like a bit of culture and history.

There's plenty of culture nearby. It is a very nice part of Portugal.

There is also plently of activites run on site and other stuff like rock climbing and go-karting off site. There is also a diving centre in Sagres which is very good.

If you want to "sub-contract" the parenting the childcare facilities are excellent.

It has the lowest tenperature difference between Summer and Winter in Western Europe so even when you are planning on going it should be plesant. However because of where it is it can get windy so the chances of lounging round the pool will depend on the wind. But watching the wind surfers is fun!

As you would expect the restaurants in the resort are expensive. Although (with the exception of the town plaza place) the food is good. I would try and eat out as much as possible. There are 2 restaurants/bars on the beach which are very friendly and offer good quality local food at a fraction of the price. The second slightly further from Martinhal is the best. There are also plenty of other options in Sagres.

The onsite shop is very expensive. Use only for emergencies. There is a supermarket 2 mins from the site to stock up on.

As far as acommodation is concerned we were staying at the full view Ocean Houses. The views are amazing and would recommend them highly. However all the accommodation is lovely.

Be glad that you can go out of season. The first year they opened they had some good deals now they are getting better known we have been quoted 430 Euros a night in August and there isn't much available. Enjoy it while your young one isn't at school!
